Our 11-acre lake features 750m, 300m, and 150m loops, plus a dipping area for less confident swimmers. We have RLSS lifeguards, free parking, toilets, a hot shower, and a coffee hut. In winter, we heat the stretch tent and provide a large fire pit for warmth.

On your first visit you may borrow a medical ID wristband. If you’d like to then swim with us regularly please read more under ‘Swim Requirements’ or click here to order your medical ID wrist band.

No experience is needed – we’re beginner-friendly. Wetsuits are optional, but tow floats are required and available for hire.

From October to March, we recommend acclimatising to cold water beforehand, through cold showers, baths, or ice tubs. We also ask you read up on 'Things to consider before cold water swimming' and 'After drop & the risks of cold water swimming' before coming.

Children aged 8+ may swim when the water temperature exceeds 15°C. A parent or guardian must request and complete an 'Under 18s' form via email: activities@watersedge.club.

MENTAL HEALTH DIPS

We offer ‘mental health dips’ which is a free monthly swim for those who are wanting to take part in our main swims but are nervous to do so when it is busy. These are done as 1:1 sessions or as a small group. To get involved in doing one of these please message Sophy on 07920263703.

SUNSET SESSIONs (summer)

Every other Friday from the start of June to end of September we host our renowned ‘Sunset Sessions’ which involves an (optional) yoga session or Breathwork session followed by a sunset swim for a further 80 people. Each session sees a different type of music to add to the atmosphere as well as a different street food truck. For more info head to ‘Special Events’.

FULL MOON SWIMS (winter)

We hold monthly ‘full moon swims’ on a Friday or Saturday night which entails lighting the buoys and lifeguards up with lights. Swimmers must bring a light for their head or their tow float. We offer food and drinks afterwards.

SWIM REQUIREMENTS

TO ORDER A MEDICAL ID BAND PLEASE

All swimmers at Watersedge must wear a Sports Guardian (or Beyond Swim) band. On your first visit or if you haven't received your band yet, we offer a guest wristband free of charge. The band tracks entry/exit and provides quick access to medical info in emergencies. If you have a band from another participating venue, you can use it at Watersedge too.

Upon purchase, you will need to download and update the app; this is how the app will appear on your phone. Please make sure to download it and add your details.

App Store page for 'Sports Guardian' with app logo, description 'Sports Guardian keeps you safe,' and a blue 'Open' button. App details include 'Age 4+,' 'Category: Health & Fitness,' and 'Developer: Sports Guardian.'"

How does the Sports Guardian band work?

Your band is laser-engraved with a QR code, name, ICE contact number, and medical details. In an emergency, scanning the code gives venue staff and paramedics access to more personal information.
